Summer weddings in Estes Park are always gorgeous. It’s a beautiful mountain getaway that’s shockingly close to our home in Loveland, Colorado. So, when Rachel + Shaun asked us to film their Estes Park wedding video, we were all in. Keep reading to hear about their beautiful wedding, and some of the surprises that happened on their wedding day (including wildlife encounters, folks).
Puppy Proposal
Rachel and Shaun met while they were in college, and they dated for five years before they got engaged. When it came time for the proposal, Shaun knew Rachel couldn’t resist a cute puppy. So, he arranged for them to “run into” a puppy doing a photoshoot while walking in their neighborhood. Of course, Rachel had to stop and pet the pooch. What she didn’t realize was that Shaun set up the whole thing, and the ring was attached to the puppy’s collar! When Shaun popped the question, of course, Rachel said yes, and the wedding planning began.
A Heart-Warming Estes Park Wedding Video
Rachel and Shaun got married at the Della Terra in Estes Park, a gorgeous venue nestled right against the Rocky Mountains. The day was full of touching moments and a handful of surprises! Rachel and Shaun both wrote letters to each other the morning of the wedding and got to read them before the ceremony. These precious words were a highlight for them both. Another favorite moment was spending time together, just the two of them, during the cocktail hour for the guests.
As for the surprises, they were not planning on a hail storm that swept through Estes. Thankfully, they look back on it fondly! And who could forget their close encounter with a bear!
The couple did a photobooth guestbook for their wedding, letting guests take pictures in a photobooth and put prints in a book instead of a traditional guestbook. The book is something they will treasure for years to come.
What’s Next
After their wedding, Rachel and Shaun spent some time exploring the sites in California, including walking from Pier 39 to the Golden Gate Bridge (and back!) in San Francisco, a winery tour in Sonoma County, and hiking at Lake Tahoe.
As they start the adventure of marriage together, they are excited about growing their family and helping each other reach their goals.
Testimonial
We asked Rachel and Shaun about their experience working with us, and they shared this, “He [Adam] was amazing to work with and jumped right in! All our wedding guests were present when we first met him in person for our additional shoot. He stayed calm, cool, and collected to get all the footage he needed through loud music, rambunctious kiddos, and party guests.
He helped us become more comfortable in front of a camera without any stress!”
Thank you so much for the kind words you two. We couldn’t be happier for you! Thank you for including Aflātis on your big day.
