A ride that a girl could not resist…Jackie was a leadership kickoff for Faith Evangelical Free Church when she saw the ride of her life. Brad had a motorcycle and Jackie had always wanted to ride a motorcycle, so she walked up to Brad and asked for a ride and the rest became history.

A proposal followed two years later on November 2, 2013. Their church was having their serve day of raking up leaves for the community. Brad woke Jackie up at 5:30am for a scavenger hunt and took her to Vern’s for breakfast with a clue and an attribute he loved about Jackie. Breakfast was followed by a Colorado sunrise and church to go serve. Brad left midway through raking and Jackie was left to finish his work. When Jackie got back to church, her and Brad’s friends were waiting there with the next clue that led her to Panera – where they had part of their first date. When she got to Panera, another friend was sitting at a table with Jackie’s next clue. Jackie headed up to Rollerland, where she had her first date with Brad. Their friend, Phil, was there with her next clue to send her to Greenshire stables. Jackie boarded her horse there, where they went on a horseback ride and where Jackie told him she would be his girlfriend. Finally, the last clue led Jackie to a house in Timnath. Jackie walked up the long driveway knowing what was about to happen. She saw Brad with Twister, a pony they had walked, and “Hey Pretty Girl,” by Kip Moore was playing in the background. Brad had sung and recorded “Hey Pretty Girl” and the ring was on top of Twister’s back. When Jackie finally made her way up the driveway, Brad dropped to one knee and asked her to marry him. She said, “Yes!”

Jackie and Brad’s day was full of horses, cowboy boots, friends and family. The Big Red Barn was decorated with Breyer horses and made the perfect venue for Jackie’s vision and passion for horses and being a cowgirl at heart. The day was marked with chocolate milk, Brad’s favorite drink, for the wedding toast, a “crazy hour” where all the guests were on the dance floor with crazy props, and Jackie and Brad’s get away on his motorcycle…what brought them together. They also loved their first look at each other, reading the letters they wrote one another, Jackie’s father-daughter dance, and Jackie riding in a horse-drawn-carriage.

Shannyn: How was working with Adam?

Jackie: Adam was great and was intentional on giving us what we wanted. He also reminded me to enjoy the moment when it was just Brad and I. I would highly recommend him to other couples.

I had the privilege of working with Emily from eMoon Photography. Here are some images that she took during the day:
