Lauren + Mike

Lauren and Mike met on Lauren’s first day on the job and Lauren remembers going home that day and telling her roommate that she met the man she was going to marry. Low and behold, three months later, Lauren and Mike were dating and now find themselves husband and wife. But before we get ahead of ourselves, let’s rewind and go over some very important details.

After four and half years of dating, it was time to take the next step. Lauren and Mike were taking a roadtrip from Boston to Maine to visit Lauren’s family. On the drive, Lauren’s dad called Mike and asked if they could make a pit stop at their beach house to pick something up. Lauren and Mike took the detour and let their dog, Catie, out to walk the beach and go to the bathroom. As Catie was taking a break, Lauren and Mike used the time to walk the beach and take in the New England coastline. Mike asked Lauren if she had noticed the new collar on Catie…not noticing the new addition to the dog, Lauren bent down and looked at the collar. The new collar on Catie had the greatest detail stitched on it, “will you marry me?” As Lauren turned around, Mike was down on one knee. After Lauren answered with a yes, a loud celebration occurred in the background. A short distance away, family and friends had gathered to watch and celebrate the engagement of Lauren and Mike.

Lauren and Mike gathered family and friends in Portland, Maine over the 2016 Fourth of July weekend to celebrate their marriage. Guests were greeted with welcome boxes that included lobster gummies, playing cards, a hangover kit, and water. The bride and groom spent Friday night welcoming guests to the celebration and kicking off their weekend of wedding bliss. Saturday was spent out on the golf course and ended with a backyard BBQ at Lauren’s parents’ house. On Sunday, everyone gathered once again to celebrate the love between Lauren and Mike. The day was beautiful and held so many personally touching moments. Every detail of the wedding from the ceremony to the reception had the touch of Lauren and Mike. From the lighting to the silverware to the candy bar at the reception. One of the most amazing moments was the first look for Lauren and Mike – where it was an emotional rollercoaster. The other first look that Lauren was fond of was seeing the reception site all put together before guests entered. It was where she was able to see every detail come together and be exactly what she envisioned for her wedding day. Another special moment was her father-daughter dance. Her dad kept the song a secret, so she was pleasantly surprised when “Wonderful World” came on. The wedding festivities concluded with a farewell brunch on July 4, where Lauren and Mike were once again able to connect with their loved ones. It is easy to say that the wedding weekend for Lauren and Mike was unforgettable in more ways than one.

Lauren and Mike followed their wedding with a honeymoon for a lifetime. Over the span of three weeks, the newlyweds spent time in Thailand, Cambodia, Bali. They explored the lands of Thailand while riding on the backs of elephants, wandered through Siem Reap while ATVing, and spent time adventuring the beaches and jungles of Bali.

Shannyn: How was working with Adam?

Lauren: I went to the University of Colorado-Boulder with Gracie Coburn (a previous client of Adam’s), so I saw her wedding video and instantly swooned over it. I thought it was captured so perfectly that I wanted to reach out whenever my day came! I would, without a doubt, recommend Adam. I feel that selecting a photographer and videographer are arguably two of the most important decisions you make when planning a wedding, as these individuals invest a lot of time in capturing the mood, atmosphere, and ambiance of the day. The moments that they capture are the only tangible memories of the day, so finding someone that can capture those feelings so that you can relive one of the biggest moments of your lives forever is super important.
