Linden + Matthew

Apartment buildings are always full of so many different people with different stories and if you are lucky you might live next to someone who will lead you to your future spouse.

Linden and Matthew’s brother were living in the same apartment building in New York City and Matthew happened to be spending a lot of nights on his brother’s couch as he spent the summer interning in New York City. By happen stance, Linden and Matthew met each other and the fireworks were being lit for a Big Apple romance.

As Matthew planned his proposal to Linden, he did not let a detail go unnoticed. He put together a romantic dinner at Blue Hill Stone Barns in New York City, where a private room held a special dinner course just for them. Over a delicious meal, Matthew asked the love of his life to marry him and she said yes! The happy couple celebrated their engagement with a night at Castle Hotel and Spa.

The wedding festivities kicked off with a great rehearsal dinner where both extended families got to meet each other for the first time. Unforgettable gifts, a diamond necklace and watch, were exchanged and maybe a few tears were shed. One of Matthew’s favorite moments was when he got to see his bride for the first time in her dress. And equally, Linden loved seeing Matthew…she even wanted to run to him. Family and friends surround Linden and Matthew on their special day in the Rocky Mountains. Guests were given custom blankets to keep warm on the frigid Aspen day. At the conclusion of the ceremony a light snow began to fall and it made a perfect combination with the fall Aspen colors and it led to an impromptu photoshoot. A highlight of the reception was the band…who played all night long. Rumor has it that Linden’s mom also gave a performance with the band as she sang, “Stop Draggin My Heart Around,” by Tom Petty and it was incredible! A special moment for Linden was being able to dance with Matthew’s 95 year old grandfather and experiencing all four of Colorado’s seasons in one day. The wedding festivities continued into the next day where Linden and Matthew had brunch with family and friends at the Jerome Hotel.

While the wedding adventure came to an end, the next adventure awaited for the newly married couple: a honeymoon in South Africa. They explored all that South Africa had to offer with two separate safaris – Singita Boulders Lodge and Royal Malewane. On the safari they were able to see a pride of lions hunt and kill an impala. They explored the beautiful beaches of Seychelles where they were able to do nothing but relax. The honeymoon concluded in Cape Town where they explored the city and culture.

Shannyn: How was working Adam?

Linden+Matthew: We heard about Adam through a friend of Linden’s and couldn’t be more pleased. No detail was overlooked, he went above and beyond (even giving us a private video session after a hike at Hanging Lake). If we could give him a grade of 1-10 he would be a 12. Absolutely amazing and such a good disposition. We would recommend him to anyone!
